Position Summary:

Outreach efforts will be focused on educational and informational outreach to assist and identify unmet mobility needs within our diverse community. Duties and Responsibilities

Translation of educational and outreach materials, and media materials may be required

Providing informational resources to expand and increase strategic partnerships within the service area with a focus on diversification and development of ridership streams

May perform public relations activities by speaking, giving demonstrations, coordinating, attending these events

Implement in-person marketing efforts

Facilitate transit travel training sessions within the community

Collaborate with staff when an in-person translator may be needed

Identify transportation needs throughout the community while presenting those needs internally to the Skagit Transit staff
Qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the job. A typical way to meet this requirement would be:

Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, Communications, Human Services, Social Work, or a related field

Consideration may be given to applicants with lived experience

Skilled in communication, outreach, and/or community organizing

Creating printed or electronic materials for marketing purposes

Demonstrated experience/skills in public speaking

Bilingual required, Spanish highly preferred. Mixtec, Triqui, Russian, and/or Tagalog accepted

Must be proficient with social media

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Must be reliable, organized, and can meet timely deadlines

A valid Washington State Driver License, must maintain acceptable driving record
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $62,358.01-$80,486.62; dependent upon experience
