Skagit Transit Reduced Fare Permit – Free
This permit can be temporary or permanent, and entitles people 65 years of age and older, Veterans, people with a Medicare card, and people with a disability to reduced fares on all Skagit Transit Fixed Route services.

Skagit Transit Reduced Fare Application
Regional Reduced Fare Permit - $3.00
This permit can be temporary or permanent, and entitles people 65 years of age and older, people with a Medicare Card and people with a disability to reduced fares throughout the Puget Sound Region. This Region includes: Clallam Transit, Community Transit, Everett Transit, Intercity Transit, Jefferson Transit, King County Metro Transit, King County Water Taxi, Kitsap Transit, Mason Transit, Pierce County Ferries, Pierce Transit, Skagit Transit, Sound Transit, Washington State Ferries, and Whatcom Transportation Authority.

APPLICATION PROCESS for Both Permits:
Step 1) Pick up an application for the type of permit you need from Customer Service at:

Call (360) 757-4433 or toll-free at (877) 584-7528 to have an application mailed

Step 2) Fill out the application and gather the necessary documentation. If applying for a Medical Disability, have a doctor fill out the medical certification included in the application.
Step 3) Bring the completed application, your identification and required documentation to:

Step 4) The Customer Service representative will review your application and ask for photo ID to be put on your Reduced Fare ID card. The process to create your ID card can take up to 15 minutes.
Step 5) Begin using your Reduced Fare Permit to purchase Fare Cards – at Skagit Station, the Skagit Transit Business Office or on the Bus.
